Japanese-ness

I was given a project in my HIS 1510 class. It's on the clothing styles of ancient Japan, which is right up my alley, since I've been taking Japanese for the past 4 years. I'm kinda excited - we have to write a magazine article about our topics, and, well, I'm looking forward to it. Plus it gets me out of homework for next week, which is always a plus.

I haven't finished If I Stay yet, but I like what I've read so far. It's cute, but manages to have this extremely dark undertone to it as well. It's due tomorrow, so hopefully I'll finish it tonight.

So I'm currently searching for a good Asian Market. I haven't been able to find one that's close to my house, which is slightly depressing. I really want to get some red bean paste, which sounds really gross but is actually delicious. I like to eat it in anpan, which is basically a sugar-glazed roll with sweet red bean paste inside, like a weird donut. It's so good, but I can't find it anywhere!
